Welcome to UJAMAA Construction, Inc.

We are a full service general construction and construction management company that specializes in complex renovation and new construction projects. We primarily serve institution clients in retail, higher-education, healthcare and commercial market. Due to our Client-focused approach to construction, we have a 70% repeat client roster.  UJAMAA is signatory through the Mid-American Regional Bargaining Association to the Carpenters and Laborers Union. This gives the ability to self-perform our selective demolition, rough and finish carpentry on our projects and have more control on project schedule and project quality control. In 2010, we completed over 72,000 work man-hours without a single lost workday, and we currently have an EMR rating of 0.82.

UJAMAA is certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) with the City of Chicago, Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council (CMSDC), Department of Central Management Services (CMS) with the State of Illinois, and we received our SBA 8(a) certification in 2009.
